Title: American Epic Series on PBS/BBC Post by: NOLA BB Fan on May 14, 2017, 07:54:21 PM Starting Tuesday 16 May on PBS and continuing 2 more weeks, the series, American Epic, traces the beginnings of the non-classical music recording industry. Will feature many types of music including blues, gospel, country, Cajun, Hawaiian, Native American, and others.
I believe that it will also show on BBC4 starting May 21. Check local listings for times in your area. There will be a further documentary series, American Epic Sessions, in June. There's a book available, along with a 5 CD box set. |
