Sad news! Great summer! Death by suicide no less.  RIP Butch!

Where have I been? I've heard of Derek Trucks but not Butch.

I've been playing the Allman Brothers Band a lot lately. I'm kind of surprised how hard this hit me. I was never that big of a fan until I read Greg Allmans book. Even thought the ABB did their final show as a group in 2014, I still think it's sad that the original remaining members never played with Dickey Betts again. Especially with how ugly it ended with him leaving the group.

Sixty-nine is no age to die! Rest in peace, Mr Trucks, and thank you for some brilliant music.
