Title: RIP Dave Swarbrick Post by: Vegetable Man on July 15, 2016, 08:55:48 PM I can understand why this one went under the radar. It's not as significant as some of the other music business-deaths this year, but nonetheless, it's sad to hear of Dave Swarbrick's passing. He was a vital component of Fairport Convention and really kept them going through his years in the group. He certainly will be missed.

Although I believe he was sceptical at first of the whole folk-rock thing, he helped break new ground on this seminal track of theirs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szrGtFxtWXU Rest in peace, sir.
