Title: Kirk Douglas is 99
Post by: Smilin Ed H on December 13, 2015, 06:34:55 AM
Kirk Douglas turned 99 a couple of days back, Last year, he compiled a list of his 12 greatest films (and I begged to differ); this year, the British Film Institute have come up with their top ten. There's some overlap, of course, but I still be to differ...

He made a great but largely forgotten film in 1961 call 'Town Without Pity'.

It's mind-blowing to think that Kirk's now a centenarian.... not very many others have made it to that age - at least in show business.

Zsa Zsa Gabor was just months away from being 100 as well.... may she rest in peace

Well you never fail to surprise - when did you discover Zsa Zsa? Thru the shows, seen her films? She was frequent guest in the 50s gameshow "What's my line?". Such a darling.
David Letterman introduces her as friend in this fast food video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fEn8QdI8-24
In WML as guest panelist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=By3Y1Dfu9wA

Her mother Jolie Gabor lived nearly 101!

Well I haven't actually seen her in anything, but she is an iconic figure - arguably the first person who was famous for being famous. I know her sister was also in Green Acres as well, though that's another show I haven't really checked out
