Jan & Arnie (not Dean) co-wrote and recorded a song called "Bonnie Lou", the B-side of "Gas Money" in 1958:

May she rest in peace.

James B. Murphy mentions it in his book, Becoming the Beach Boys, 1961-1963.  It was released as a single in August 1954 (King 1373); it also had a British release on Parlophone MSP 6132.  Murphy has pictures of the record labels in the Dorinda & Hite Morgan Discography section of his website, http://becomingthebeachboys.com/2015/08/04/dorinda-hite-morgan-discography/ (http://becomingthebeachboys.com/2015/08/04/dorinda-hite-morgan-discography/).

Hmm ... George Martin was the assistant manager of Parlophone at the time.  I wonder if he had anything to do with this record's release?
