Title: Another Surfin USA reissue…
Post by: The Shift on September 01, 2015, 01:22:53 PM
… suspect this is an out of copyright needle drop, like earlier Surfin Safari and Surfer Girl issues. Though the AP series might have suffocated these at birth…

Label is "Rumble"

Half Price Books is carrying a lot of these out of copyright vinyl issues. I only buy these when the originals are too hard to find - i.e, Buddy Holly's first album, some old Everly Brothers, Little Richard or Roy Orbison albums. Beach Boys albums have never been hard to find here in the NW.

Don't buy it. I bought the Surfer Girl Rumble Records re-issue and it's horrible. They even made print mistakes on the cover and the lp. Here's what I wrote in another thread:

While we're talking about vinyl re-issues, I have a question about this particular reissue:

I bought this reissue on Rumble Records hoping to have the album in new condition for my collection. But this thing was a complete shock:
There is actually a misspelling of the song Surfers Rule on the back cover and on the lp itself. It's now called Surfer's Tule. This is a pretty terrible mistake. I mean, the worst part is that this lp didn't cost like 1 dollar, bur more like 20 dollars. This sucks pretty bad!
Is anyone familiar with Rumble Records and has made similar experiences?

At least I leaned something: next time I'll spend 15 dollars more for an Acoustic Sounds reissue.

many thanks for that… haven't bought them (yet~?) but  I'd expect them to be needle-drop quality, no better… I've a stack of the Surfin' Safari LP reissues and am not impressed; lesson learned!
