Movement of people is not an issue. The problem is multiculturalism combined with the welfare state. Get rid of both and I'd have no problem with freedom of movement. There is no place for fifth columns in Western civilization.

The welfare state has removed the incentive to do both. This is not to say that all third-world immigration is bad; as long as they can assimilate (learning the language most especially) and be productive members of society no one would bat an eyelash. The West doesn't need the third-world; the third-world needs the West.
Perhaps Western civilization needs to let the third-world sort out its own backyard before coming into our own. |
