Title: Explain how Easter is about bunnies... Post by: ♩♬🐸 Billy C ♯♫♩🐇 on June 10, 2006, 11:54:17 PM I was in a debate the other day with some friends. Just how did the Easter Bunny get associated with Easter? Crucifixion, resurrection.....chocolate bunnies, colored eggs. WTF?!

Not all that strangely. Most Christian holidays were placed on pagan holiday dates in order to facilitate their adoption by the "common people." Or so I was taught as a lad. The church just adjusted an existing holiday to merge the two celebrations. Christmas was the Christianization of the Saturnalia, which is why it is on December 25.
