Title: Every Dime I Make
Post by: Blake Alan on March 13, 2015, 04:39:41 PM
Here's a song I recently finished. It's a little bit hillbilly, so it may not be to everyone's taste. Any mixing tips or tricks are very welcome as I know almost nothing about the subject. Thanks!

Overall a very good production.  I would make your instrumental, especially the drums a little quieter.  I can barely hear the vocals.   :(

The verses sound like In The Summertime by Mungo Jerry.

Thanks for the tip! I hadn't noticed it, but now that I listen again, the drums are a little loud. I'll try turning them down and bumping the vocal next time I get to my recording equipment.

As for "In The Summertime", you definitely got me there. Believe or not, that was unintentional, but yes, the verse melody is almost identical. Oops! Don't tell Jerry  :)
