Very sad. Really liked The Graduate. Charlie Wilson's War wasn't too bad either.

The Graduate is one of the greatest movies ever made. It's one of the films that helped usher in what is, in my opinion, the greatest era in American cinematic history.

I also liked Catch-22 and Closer a lot.

Always felt Catch 22 was hugely underrated. I suspect had it been a European film, people would have been falling all over themselves to praise it. The fact that it can't compare with the intricacies of the novel, is neither here nor there.

I agree with everything you wrote.

I've never been much for the argument that "it was too different from the book." Of course it is. It's a movie!
