He was in an awful rush; Very much contradictory to my way of life. In our short conversation he told of himself and his reasons; None I find worthy of such an excursion, but nonetheless, they were reasons which seemed fair to him. I later remarked to Passepartout that the old fellow seemed rather strange in a most uncomforting way.
