Translation:

No, the title isn't wrong. I know that on the Holland lp by The Beach Boys there was going to be a song called We Got Love, but that it wasn't included. I learned this from YouTube, I don't know anything about The Beach Boys.
An old acquaintance of mine used to be a technician and passed away a few years ago. His wife gave me a few 25 cm tapes. One of those said BEACH BOYS HOLLAND LP REHEARSALS. At first I thought it was nonsense, but when I asked his wife she told me that he actually worked as a technician on the recording of this lp in the 70s. On this tape, which I transferred to cd-recordable, are three song attempts. I don't know any titles, I'm not a Beach Boys fan, but on the first song they're clearly and repeatedly singing I've Got Love and not We've Got Love. The tape excists of 38 minutes of tuning and adjusting instruments and the first song is I've Got Love, which starts at around 12 minutes. The tape also ends with that song, but this time it lasts for about ten minutes. There are some other song attempts between those, but I don't know what they're called. This recording is obviously very unique. Serious bidding only, please. This is truely something for the fanatical Beach Boys fan.

Anyone ever heard anything about this?

Ok, who want to start a collection to buy this tape? I'd say it's worth a shot, even if it turns out to be a fake. I'll chip in some.

Aside from ""I´ve Got Love" the tape features attempts at "Loretta Laredo" and "House Of Lies", all three sounding like Chaplin-Fataar compositions. The players are Carl, Blondie & Ricky. It was recorded at CFS Recording, Baambrugge (not the Moffitt-built BB Studio) by Theo de Jong.

I'd bid on it of I could figure out how! Sounds really interesting!

1. Does 'I've Got Love' have anything to do with 'We Got Love'?

2. Chaplin and Fataar wrote some good songs in 1972 (Leaving This Town, We Got Love and Hard Times). How cool are "Loretta Laredo" and "House Of Lies"?

My guess is it's an early version of 'We Got Love' before they changed to title from 'I' to 'We'. That would make a lot of sense.

Question: when they've got a custom-built (at HUGE expense) studio to hand 24/7... why use another one ? The title of the studio (which, btw, returns exactly zero results on Google) also looks a bit odd. C & F could stand for Chaplin & Fataar. What's the date on the tape box label ?

Just a guess, but maybe these were rehearsals held at an alternate Dutch studio while the barn studio was still under construction?

Hence my asking the date on the tape box.  :)

You're making a double assumption:

that Boyd is still serving BRI in that capacity...

and if he is, he bought it.
