The Black Keyes are not my thing, so it's hard to judge a cover, especially never having heard the original.  However, I did listen to and I do like "The Girl," though again I don't know the original.  I should probably track down the original and give it a listen.  Thanks for introducing me to this band/song.

You know Zach, I think it's just having the time to listen *and* comment.  I've been playing a lot of tracks by posters here for a couple of months.  I've listened to "Evergreen."  "Winter Song" is nice, too bad you lost the lady singer.  She has a great voice.  I've misplaced my notes... that's what I mean.  I made some the other day, then the morning takes off and on to the day-jobs.  I don't comment on lots of this stuff.  It's not a slight.  Go by the number of views as more of a measure.  You and many others are putting up some fine tracks.  Donny L is doing some very interesting stuff with his band.  So is Sunchymes.  I was listening to Jared Lekites this morning.  He's got a record out, as many here do.  Sounds good, but I didn't comment.
I like the Black Keys' track.  That was the very song that first turned me on to them (heard it on the radio).  I've now listened to their records, but haven't bought any.  Only so much in the budget...
Keep putting up stuff.  I'll listen in time.  Right now, time for lunch.   peace, Will
