Just fooled around with a melody and bass so far. Started it yesterday and fleshed it out a bit today. Let me know what you think:

Hey, that looks like Tom Seaver in that avatar!  They called him "Tom Terrific".  Helluva pitcher.

Not bad, keep it up. You've got key-changing downpat, I see. :)

I did? I thought I was in one key the whole time  :P

Pretty much self teaching myself.

Dang right! Huge Mets fan

Dang right! Huge Mets card.

Just listening to a lot of Brian Wilson music makes you naturally change key while writing, it sounds stupid but it's seriously true, I've talked with my music teachers  about it haha...

Inspired by Brian? What would make you think that? ;)

Another rough melody and bass demo I recorded just a few minutes ago. This came to me fairly quick.:

Attempted to do some lyrics to "Why". Criticism welcome:

Verse 1:
When we drift/a-part so so/so so/eas-ily and
I know that/ this hap-pens/so so so re-peat-ed-ly
All that I want to know now/ is what I can do/to be a better man

Chorus:
Why?/ tell me why?
Why? tell me why?
Why/does this happen all the time?

Verse 2:
I have tried so/ so so so/ so so/hard to care for you
Now you're gone/ and I'm so so/so so/ all alone now.
I threw my life away/so you could be happy and comforted

Chorus:
Why?/tell me why
Oh, Why/ell me why
Why must this be the end result?

(Wordless outro followed by harmony at the end.)

A go at trying to do Where is She. Pianos are the vocal parts. Only partial.
