Title: Making Your Own Beach Boys Playlist/Compilation
Post by: bluesno1fann on July 11, 2013, 03:03:25 AM
I'm not too happy with the sh*t-loads of compilations that are out, so I've decided to make my own.
I want it to be one where you get the best first-impression of them.
The title would be "The Absolute Essentials", and there would be 30 tracks. 15 from the 60's, and 15 from the 70's onwards.
The (possibly final) track-list I have in mind:

01: Surfin' Safari
02: In My Room
03: The Warmth Of The Sun
04: Do You Wanna Dance?
05: The Little Girls I Once Knew
06: God Only Knows
07: I Just Wasn't Made For These Times
08: Heroes And Villains
09: Surf's Up
10: Good Vibrations
11: Wild Honey
12: Little Bird
13: I Can Hear Music
14: Cottonfields
15: I'm Going Your Way
16: It's About Time
17: Forever
18: Disney Girls (1957)
19: 'Til I Die
20: You Need A Mess Of Help To Stand Alone
21: Cuddle Up
22: Sail On, Sailor
23: Mona
24: Honkin' Down The Highway
25: My Diane
26: Love Surrounds Me
27: Keepin' The Summer Alive
28: Getcha Back
29: She Believes In Love Again
30: That's Why God Made The Radio

I wouldn't mind hearing your opinion on this. Hope you like it

Good tracklist, but one of the two concepts were to have 15 tracks from the 60's and 15 from the 70's onwards

Also, Surfin USA is a Chuck Berry Rip-off, I Get Around is nothing compared to I'm Going Your Way, and A Day in the Life of a Tree i don't care for much, probably because it's sung by Jack Rieley as well as Van Dyke Parks

No Don't Worry Baby - seriously?? And She Believes In Love Again? No thanks. Much better songs on BB '85. Why not the vastly superior Where I Belong? Otherwise, a nice interesting track-list - although personally I'm usually reluctant to use bootleg material on comps unless the quality is really good, and the quality on my own copy of I'm Going Your Way is pretty lousy...

very nice comp, much better than most offical releases. Personally I would cut it at around LA Light, but that is ofc up to you. However with the release of Why Don't They Let Us Fall In Love? (and perhaps one day River Deep Mountain High and Stevie) I might revise that cut-off date

This is pretty close for my tastes.  The first half is right on the money.  However, I would ditch Diz-a-ney Girls and put Surf's Up in its place.  And I know RnR Music and California Dreamin' are covers but they are essential to any compilation.  I would put them in place of Cuddle Up and....oh, I guess Where I Belong.

One more thought.  As I have mentioned in other threads, I would like just once to see Still Cruisin' on a comp.  Couldn't they do that JUST ONCE?!!!

I sacrificed Don't Worry Baby in favor of The Warmth Of The Sun. It was indeed a tough decision. As for She Believes In Love Again, i actually quite like that song, and that's your personal opinion if you don't like that. Although now that I think about it, I should have put Maybe I Don't Know instead...

Posted this about 18 months back – it's a disc I burned for a friend who had no interest in the band and thought they were all surf, sun and cheese.

I still like it – 25 tracks and they all fit on to one CD.  Not chronological; I tried to ensure it flows a little. Might have changed it today – DITLoaT certainly belongs here. Maybe one or two others – Let The Wind Blow, from In Concert, for eg.

Not into this reliance on 60s tracks. The 60s might have seen Brian's creative pop peak but the 70s were extremely strong, for all the band, and much of 2012's effort blew my mind also.

On that point, it's heavy on TWGMTR tracks as that was in very heavy circulation on my CD player at the time, and I'd probably only pull Strange World to free-up space out of those. Have included sources here, which I didn't before; one or two have changed, notably Only With You (Live) which now has an official source in even better quality than the original Hang Ten Carnegie bootleg.  I've also got my hands on the rest of the 2012 remasters since compiling the list.

01: Think About The Days (That's Why God Made the Radio)
02: Surf's Up (Surf's Up [2012 Remaster])
03: River Song (Dennis Wilson, Pacific Ocean Blue)
04: All This Is That (Carl & The Passions/ Holland twofer)
05: Old Man River [Vocal Section] (Hawthorne, CA: Birthplace Of A Musical Legacy [Disc 2])
06: Soulful Old Man Sunshine (Endless Harmony Soundtrack)
07: This Whole World (Sunflower  [2012 Remaster])
08: Only With You (Live, MiC Disc 5)
09: Water (4th Vocal Overdub) (UM: Volume 17-The "Smile" Sessions)
10: Cool, Cool Water (album version) (Sunflower [2012 Remaster])
11: Funky Pretty (Carl & The Passions/Holland twofer)
12: Add Some Music To Your Day (Sunflower  [2012 Remaster])
13: Can't Wait Too Long [A Cappella Mix] (Hawthorne, CA: Birthplace Of A Musical Legacy [Disc 2])
14: 'Til I Die (Surf's Up [2012 Remaster])
15: Heroes And Villains (Stereo Mix) (Smiley Smile [2012 Remaster])
16: Love Remember Me (Dennis Wilson, Bambu (The Caribou Sessions))
17: Tug Of Love (Feel The Pull) (Dennis Wilson, Pacific Ocean Blue)
18: Thoughts Of You (Dennis Wilson, Pacific Ocean Blue)
19: You Still Believe In Me (Stereo Mix) (The Pet Sounds Sessions Sampler)
20: Don't Talk (Put Your Head On My Shoulder) (String Overdub) The Pet Sounds Sessions [Disc 2])
21: Don't Talk (Put Your Head On My Shoulder) (Stereo) (Pet Sounds)
22: Strange World (That's Why God Made the Radio)
23: From There To Back Again (That's Why God Made the Radio)
24: Summer's Gone (That's Why God Made the Radio)
25: Pacific Coast Highway (That's Why God Made the Radio)

19: You Still Believe In Me (Stereo Mix) (The Pet Sounds Sessions Sampler)

Any particular reason for using the sampler edition?  Genuine query, as I don't have it and am wondering if there's anything nifty on it that wasn't in the big green box.

Ah, no, apologies for the confusion – in this instance that was the one I had to hand at the time when loading up to iTunes…  Far as I know it's the same as the Big Green Box. I should A/B with the 2012 or the 2012 stereo mix sometime… then there's the Blu-ray next month… and the mono from the end of last year (which was probably the same as the mono on the 2012 stereo/mono, or the 2000 mono…

:lol No apologies required, mate, just checking if my tightwaditis had caused me to miss out.

Just hold off on that A/Bing until the Kevin Gray mastered SACD and vinyl hits your mailbox in a couple of months.

I'm not too happy with the sh*t-loads of compilations that are out, so I've decided to make my own.
I want it to be one where you get the best first-impression of them.
The title would be "The Absolute Essentials", and there would be 30 tracks. 15 from the 60's, and 15 from the 70's onwards.
The (possibly final) track-list I have in mind:

01: Surfin' Safari
02: In My Room
03: The Warmth Of The Sun
04: Do You Wanna Dance?
05: The Little Girls I Once Knew
06: God Only Knows
07: I Just Wasn't Made For These Times
08: Heroes And Villains
09: Surf's Up
10: Good Vibrations
11: Wild Honey
12: Little Bird
13: I Can Hear Music
14: Cottonfields
15: I'm Going Your Way
16: It's About Time
17: Forever
18: Disney Girls (1957)
19: 'Til I Die
20: You Need A Mess Of Help To Stand Alone
21: Cuddle Up
22: Sail On, Sailor
23: Mona
24: Honkin' Down The Highway
25: My Diane
26: Love Surrounds Me
27: Keepin' The Summer Alive
28: Getcha Back
29: She Believes In Love Again
30: That's Why God Made The Radio

I wouldn't mind hearing your opinion on this. Hope you like it
If you're going to call it "Absolute Essentials" then I don't think you have to include anything past Sail On Sailor. The early stuff is way more "essential" than what followed.

I get what you're saying, but while a majority of post-Holland songs are rubbish, there are the occasional gems that are worth listening to and aren't worth forgetting. Also, that's my old list, check out:

I posted this two best-of compilations a long while ago; I recently updated the tracklisting on volume 2 (adding 'California Dreaming' and 'That's Why God Made The Radio'), as well as changed the cover art to said volume. I was trying to do what Capitol never really has nailed: a big helping of the Beach Boys' best hits and important album tracks.

The Warmth of the Sun: The Best of the Beach Boys, volume 1
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v51/shireling/BeachBoysbestof1_zpse795bc26.jpg) (http://smg.photobucket.com/user/shireling/media/BeachBoysbestof1_zpse795bc26.jpg.html)

No I Get Around?  No Don't Worry Baby? No Wouldn't It Be Nice?  No California Girls?  No Help Me Rhonda?  No Surfer Girl?

I thought this was supposed to be an essentials comp to make the best first impression?

What I did with my compilation is that half the songs are from the 60's, and half are from the 70's onwards. So it's neither 60's dominated or 70's dominated.
So some great songs did have to be excluded. I chose Warmth Of The Sun over Don't Worry Baby, In My Room over Surfer Girl, I Just Wasn't Made For These Times over Wouldn't It Be Nice, Do You Wanna Dance over I Get Around, Please Let Me Wonder over Help Me, Rhonda, and The Little Girls I Once Knew over California Girls.

This is basically my go to compilation when I need a BB's fix. It can't be beat.

I avoid chronological orders when it comes to comps.

1) Our Prayer/Gee
2) Hereos and Villains
3) Fallin' In Love
4) All Summer Long
5) Girl Don't Tell Me
6) You're So Good To Me
7) Car Crazy Cutie
8 ) Good To My Baby
9) Help Me Rhonda
10) Please Let Me Wonder
11) Don't Worry Baby
12) God Only Knows
14) She Knows Me Too Well
15) California Girls
16) Your're So Good To Me
17) Aren't You Glad
18) Darlin'
19) Busy Doin Notin
20) I'd Love Just Once
21) Time To Get Alone
22) Where We Are
23) All I Wanna Do
24) Where I Belong
25) Goin On
26) Somewhere near Japan
27) The Trader
28) Marcella
29) Surfin Usa
30) Soul Searchin (Awesome way to close an album)

Also, Surfin USA is a Chuck Berry Rip-off, I Get Around is nothing compared to I'm Going Your Way, and A Day in the Life of a Tree i don't care for much, probably because it's sung by Jack Rieley as well as Van Dyke Parks

There is a difference between ripping something off and creating your own distinctive sound using source material. "Surfin' USA" is derived from Berry's "Sweet Little Sixteen" but every time it plays it says BEACH BOYS in caps. It is a signature song in their catalog that definitively introduced the surf mythology and folklore of the band.

You reckon you'll rate this?  I know nothing about Kevin Gray… I'll need a SACD compatible player as well before then…

I dunno, it's the double edge BB reissue sword  :ninja:

On the one hand:
- there's not really anything new on offer nothing new, as I assume the masters Kevin is "renting" will be those Mark and Alan prepared for the recent reissues, or already have on hand (ie, Pet Sounds).
- I'd prefer to put my scant funds aside for any new things that may come along, having particularly enjoyed the Big Beat 1963 stuff.

But on the other hand  :brow:
- Kevin Gray is a bit of a legend in the heady world of mastering - kicked off at Artisan (yes, they of the Sunflower "Thanks, Marilyn" imprint), has worked with about every classic rock outfit you could name, and spend a fair bit of time with crazy Steve Hoffman @ DCC (they did all of those Gold cd releases of Endless Summer etc).

- hence, some of the vinyl will be be worth getting, especially the earlier albums; some of my original copies are kinda beat to sh*t, and should be left to rest on the shelf.

- If I were one of the younger players around here and looking at expanding into vinyl, I'd be saving my pennies and dimes for this set; in anticipation of glowing reviews of course.  Don't think they'll be cheap tho'.

As for the SACDs:
- not sure how much more fidelity can be squeezed out of the current masters - MoFi pulled a good stereo PS SACD out of the hat with their recentish Hybrid release (where you can play it on a standard CD player), that even got a mention from Mark L on this board; not sure what Kev can add to this tome.

- In relation to the other titles, I only bought the Smiley Smile and Surfin' USA remastered CDs, as I'm pretty happy with the 2001 twofers; so will be keeping an eye on the reviews if they come.

So, I'm looking forward to the new vinyl, and being "philosophical" about the SACD's.

Thanks. I didn't really have any more room, though. If I could, I'd add 'Meant For You', 'Cool, Cool Water', and at least one more Love You track.

Summer_Days, I adore those covers!  ;D

Here's a very straightforward chronological comp I made a few weeks ago with all my favourite BB songs, bar Pet Sounds and Smile material. I called it Still I Dream of It and made a stupid cover, because I'm an idiot.

01. In The Back Of My Mind
02. The Little Girl I Once Knew (seltaeb's stereo mix)
03. Can't Wait Too Long (MiC)
04. Darlin'
05. Friends
06. Wake The World
07. Be Here In The Morning
08. Passing By
09. Busy Doin' Nothin'
10. I Can Hear Music
11. Be With Me
12. I Went To Sleep
13. Time To Get Alone
14. Never Learn Not To Love
15. Break Away
16. Slip On Through
17. This Whole World
18. Cool Cool Water
19. Soulful Old Man Sunshine
20. Feel Flows
21. Wouldn't It Be Nice (To Live Again)
22. 'Til I Die
23. Marcella
24. California Saga
25. Mona
26. Good Time
27. It's Over Now
28. Still I Dream Of It

I suppose it doesn't take many chances. Maybe it's worth making another comp of really deep cuts.

I use a rather old version of Photoshop Deluxe. Hey, it was free.

As with that California Summertime album I made from the best tracks from Shut Down volume 2 and All Summer Long, here's an album I made from the better songs from MIU, LA Light Album AND KTSA:

Front cover
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v51/shireling/bbsgoodtimin1_zps8a95084d.jpg) (http://smg.photobucket.com/user/shireling/media/bbsgoodtimin1_zps8a95084d.jpg.html)
Back cover

I tried to make the album artwork look really cheesy late '70s feeling.

I used to make 90 minute cassettes of my favourite artists to play in the kitchen which only had a cassette player. The Beach Boys one had two incarnations, here is the tracklisting of the latter one (which I still have)

Side one: Slip on through/ I get around/ when I grow up/ here today/ little Honda/ wild honey/ let the wind blow/ darlin'/ Disney girls (1957)/this whole world/ California girls/ Anna Lee, the healer/ do it again/ let him run wild/ be true to your school/ she knows me too well/ let's go trippin' (live)/ all summer long/ cabinessence/ I do

side two: our sweet love/ in blue Hawaii (Brian Wilson solo)/ that's not me/good vibrations/ hushabye/ wouldn't it be nice/ don't worry baby/ wind chimes/ breakaway/ surf's up/ all this is that/ in the parkin' lot/ I was made to love her/ the warmth of the sun/ in the back of my mind/ god only knows/ 'til i die

The idea was I would regularly change the tracklisting to give all my favourites their day in court, but soon afterwards cassette tapes gradually passed out of my life.

I'm always making more covers so...

Here's a CD comp I did for use in trying to get someone (nobody in particular yet) into the Beach Boys. No Pet Sounds tracks because the album itself would accompany this CD. I tried to pick a couple of well-known classics plus a bunch of hidden (to them) wonders and some of the band's best. A nice mix. So armed with this compilation plus Pet Sounds I'd have the ammo to charm somebody into this marvelous band. That is, if they have the ears. :)

Introducing to The Beach Boys

And here's yet another new album I made from the best of two albums, in this case Carl & The Passions - So Tough and Holland.  (although I love Holland the way it is, which is probably why I picked every track).

Steamboat

Thanks! It was a toughie to see what to leave in, what to leave out, to quote my 2nd favorite song.
I'm always making up combo albums and compilations and stuff, because I love making those covers. I'm obsessed.

Awesome. Love the font use, particularly the 8-bit LOVE YOU on the back cover. A great idea since Love You and Adult Child go well together and it sure beats skippin' through 15 Big Ones tracks to get to LY on the two-fer we got.

That's a great picture of the band on the back, too. Nice one.

I tried Photoshop one in the past, I was hopeless at it!  :lol
Then don't & just sit back & have a blast viewing all this beauty. It's better that way.

That's one hell of a disc!

Here's a compilation of my favorite Dennis Wilson songs, both solo and with the Beach Boys. It was tough to do; I wanted songs written by Dennis, but it didn't matter if he didn't sing the lead vocal. After all, my favorite DW features mostly Carl vocally - it's the title track here, 'Baby Blue'. Originally I had put 'It's Not Too Late' 'cause I love that song, but I had to remind myself that Denny didn't write it. Damn. Anyway...

Baby Blue

5. Little Bird
6. Be Still
7. Thoughts Of You

13. Lady
14. Sound Of Free

Next:  The companion album, a compilation of my favorite Carl Wilson songs.

I'm not too happy with the sh*t-loads of compilations that are out, so I've decided to make my own.

I wouldn't mind hearing your opinion on this. Hope you like it

I love that you included It's About Time, She Believes In love Again, and ESPECIALLY Love Surrounds Me.  All three are amongst my faves, but overlooked by most people.

I'm going to stick with the requested original format...15/15 from the 60s/70s  [trying to not go overboard with the obvious hits unless they were KEY...to me]

The 60s disc.

1.  Surfin USA...'cause it's the one that grabbed my attention and made me a fan.  Otherwise...I might be on the 4 Seasons board.
2.  In My Room...I bought the single/45 Be True to Your School.  Got it home...played the B side...and Wow!!!  Fantastic song.  That Brian Wilson!!!  That's MAGIC.
3.  Ballad of Ol' Betsy...Great song from a great album...their first sensational 12" record.  [T'was the 2nd BB album I bought...due only to availability]
4.  Be True To Your School...the hit single version.  It seemed out of place and lifeless as an album cut on LDC...but I was only 11 years old then.  This version just ROCKED.
5.  Fun Fun Fun.  Beatles/Schmeatles.  Take THAT!!!  The Beach Boys weren't gonna lie down.  No way.  [Some GREAT tunes on Shut Down Vol 2]  This is one of the best.
6.  Don't Worry Baby.  A knock out/home run.  Maybe the best 'B side' ever?  BJ Thomas didn't hurt it any years later either.
7.  Salt Lake City.  Loads of Fun...great arrangement.  It kicks ass.  A HIGHLIGHT from Summer Days and Summer Nights.
8.  God Only Knows...It was the best then...when nobody had ever heard the album previously.  It remains the best.  'Sir' Paul has great taste obviously.  So do I.  ;)
9.  Good Vibrations...one of the top 2 or 3 single hits EVER recorded.  To me...it's the all time best.
10.  Let The Wind Blow...one of the GREAT moments on the really good [for the most part] Wild Honey album.
11.  Little Bird...???  Dennis???  Wow!!!  That boy has something special.  Gotta watch him.
12.  Time to Get Alone...Just The Beach Boys at their VERY best.  Deep and Wide!  Whoa...THAT worked back in the day.  Hair-raising.  Chills.
13.  Cabinessence...Maybe the best ever...save Good Vibrations.

To be continued.  Computer is gonna crash...and I don't want to lose this... ... ... OK...I'm back...

14.  Wind Chimes...From Smile...Heh!!!  It was recorded in the 60s...and Smile saved it from its oh-so-severe Smiley Smile mistreatment.
15.  Surf's Up...Also from Smile.  We "weren't ready for this'???  Oh yes we were.  A great lead in to the 70s...and a tough act to follow.

The 70s disc...

1.  Slip On Through...What's THIS!!!  A new, modern, hip, going places in this new decade sound for the Beach Boys?  I LIKE it...and I like it a LOT!!!
2.  This Whole World...Perfection.
3.  Add Some Music To Your Day...Perfection...again.
4.  Forever...Jeepers creepers!!!  What a fantastic album!!!
5.  Our Sweet Love...What a sensational album.  This was a mind blower.  I thought they were done.  I was wrong.  What the hell happened that the public missed this one?
6.  Long Promised Road...Carl...stepping up to the plate.  No bunting here.
7.  Feel Flows...Carl does it again.  Man!!!  These Wilson guys are something else.  It's final...from here forward.  No Wilsons?  No Beach Boys.
8.  'Til I Die...Man.  Right to the heart eh?  Brian does it again.  Can't keep a great man down.  No Surf's Up...as I used it on the 60s disc.
9.  You Need a Mess of Help to Stand Alone...A little kick-ass for those who think the Boys don't do THAT.
10. Marcella...And again.  Right upside your FACE!!!
11.  All This Is That...Beauty.  Pure beauty.
12.  Sail On Sailor...I don't care if he's a NEW Beach Boy.  This song has a groove and it kicks keester.  The guys NAILED it.
13.  The Trader...More proof that Carl Wilson is the heart and soul of the band...at least from 69-73.  Dennis too.
14.  Only With You...THAT's L O V E.  It works.  One of our 3 MAIN wedding songs.
15.  Had to Phone Ya...After THIS one exceptional piece of brilliance...there is NOTHING I would drop from my 70s list in order to fit in ANYTHING that followed.  It would cheapen the 'disc'.

That's it.  No compromising just to somehow shoe-horn in inferior product. :hat

Oops...Disc 2 was supposed to include 70s and beyond material. :thud

Bonus disc...3

1. That Same Song...'cause it's really good.
2.  Pitter Patter...reminds one of the days when Mike and Brian used to do some neat things together.
3.  Good Timin'...Yep!!!
4.  Angel Come Home...Denny!
5.  Endless Harmony...And we sang God Bless America...  I'm not even an American and it makes me stand up.  Nice job Bruce.
6.  Somewhere Near Japan...Might have been...but...
7.  Think About the Days...Brian's back
8.  That's Why God Made the Radio...W/O him there is nothing
9.  Pacific Coast Highway...just the same old/same old...like NOTHING even remotely as great as this.
10.  Summer's Gone...Gawd...I hope not.

Sorry...I can only do 10 without tarnishing and subsequently compromising the awesomeness of the first 30.

Bonus disc 2.  GREAT Beach Boys 'covers'

1.  Why Do Fools Fall In Love
2.  Hushabye
3.  Devoted to You...MINUS the so-called 'party' noises.  A nice tribute to Don and Phil.
4.  Sloop John B
5.  Gee
6.  I Can Hear Music
7.  Cotton Fields  [UK hit version]
8.  Palisades Park
9.  Peggy Sue
10.  Kokomo
11.  Shortenin' Bread
12.  School Day
13.  Come Go With Me
14.  California Dreamin'
15...Under the Boardwalk...'cause it can't be Crocodile Rock.

Sounds Of Summer VOL.2

01 And Your Dreams Come True
02 Good Timin'
03 The Night Was So Young
04 Kiss Me Baby (stereo)
05 Surf's Up

06 Then I Kissed Her (stereo)
07 Add Some Music To Your Day
08 Breakaway
09 Girls On The Beach (stereo)
10 Ballad Of Ole' Betsy
11 Disney Girl

12 Cotton Fields (single version)
13 Sail On Sailor
14 This Whole World
15 All I Wanna Do (from Sunflower)
16 Till I Die
17 All This Is That

18 Why Do Fools Falling In Love ( stereo mix with piano intro)
19 The Little Girl I Once Knew (alternate mono mix from hawthorn california compilation)
20 Please Let Me Wonder
21 Shelter
22 Forever
23 All Summer Long (stereo)
24 Your Summer Dream(with wave sound fading out)

25 Summer In Paradise (live version from MIC)
26 California Feelin' (Brian solo version)

I know Good Timin' is on Sounds Of Summer too. But it's very impressive to me that Good Timin' is next to And Your Dreams Come True.

I had an image of a night in mind as I selected 01-05.
and 06-07 are an image of daybreak.
It's start the day.

09-11 are similar in a nostalgic sound. and I wanted to represent greatness of their 70s' harmony by 12-17.

The end, California Feelin' is not Beach Boys' recording, but I love this happy sound and I'm imagining a sunset (back to a night 01-05).

Sorry my broken English.

I'm currently working on a beach boys compilation/box set kinda thing to bore very kind people in my life senseless for a while. I'm struggling to fit the TWGMTR in. Here's the current roster.

20 Tracks per compilation disc.

Disc 1 - Early Surf Years

1. Dance, Dance, Dance
2. Help me Rhonda
3. California Girls
4. Fun, Fun, Fun
5. When I grow up (to be man)
6. Little Deuce Coup
7. I Get Around
8. Little Honda
9. The Warmth of the Sun
10. Don't Worry Baby
11. You're so good to me
12. Stoked
13. Surfin'
14. Surfin' Safari
15. A Young man is gone
16. Kiss Me, Baby
17. Surfer Girl
18. In My Room
19. I'm Bugged at my 'ol man
20. Please let me wonder

Disc 2 - Pet Sounds / Pet Sounds Live

Full Albums

Disc 3 - The SMiLE Sessions / BWPS

Full Albums

Disc 4 - (struggling for a title for this disc but it's basically SS - 15BO)

1. Meant for You
2. Sail On, Sailor
3. Wild Honey
4. Here Comes the Night
5. Darlin'
6. Do It Again
7. I Can Hear Music,
8. This Whole World
9. Add Some Music to your Day
10. Tears in the Morning
11. Little Bird
12. Be Still
13. Disney Girls
14. 'Til I Die

16. That Same Song
17. Take a Load off Your Feet
18.I'd Love Just Once to See You
19. All This is That
20. Their Hearts we're full of Spring

Disc 5 - Love You  - Adult/Child

Full Albums

Disc 6 - Here's the problem. I really don't like anything here enough to play to someone else as an example of why I love this band. I really like TWGMTR but where does it fit? What would it take the place of on Disc 4 if I squeezed some on and I'm uncomfortable putting it before Love You in the chronology.

Disc 7 - Brian Wilson Solo

1. Concert Tonight
2. This Beautiful Day
3. Love and Mercy
4. Midnight's Another Day
5. That Lucky Old Sun
6. This Songs Gonna Sleep with you
7. Forever She'll be my Surfer Girl
