Title: Spotify Playlists
Post by: GuyOnTheBeach on December 10, 2012, 03:01:43 AM
I've recently been thinking about Spotify, the way it allows us to share music is fantastic, it's like being able to look through someone's entire record collection and listen to it.
With that in mind I thought it may be cool if there was a place where the users of this board could share their playlists with other people.

To get the ball rolling, here's one of mine: http://open.spotify.com/user/beatleboybob/playlist/3gb3PMaTSECEW6PlmobXew

It's an ELO playlist which compiles my favourite tracks and presents them in some kind of coherent order. It is essential to play it in order (that is no "shuffle".) If you want to get even more technical, it sounds pretty cool with a three second crossfade.

Enjoy :)

Cool. Is there any way you can have private playlists AND public playlists? Right now it's like they're either all private or all public

I think you can have both private and public, I have a friend who has a Jive Bunny playlist that she doesn't like people knowing about :lol

I just checked, if you right click on the playlist and deselect "publish" it makes it so only you can see it :)

I mostly use the playlist thing to keep albums I want to try, or a bunch of 'genre' type things by different artists.

I made this 'Best of' for Van Dyke Parks, that grabs a lot of his extracurricular activities. I think you need a few of them on your computer for it to work now, sadly.

There's also this thing I made to show someone I don't listen EXCLUSIVELY to The Beach Boys  ;D It flows alright, mind.

This is another one I'd like to share, it's a Simon and Garfunkel playlist which compiles my favourite songs both by them as a band and solo musicians.

This was a really difficult one to do since there isn't a Simon and Garfunkel song I dislike, very few Art Garfunkel tracks and not many Paul Simon tracks, but I managed to skim it down in the end.

If anyone is interested this is my country compilation. One year ago I had never listened to any country before so I put these together to get started
