I DON'T use any pre-made riffs/loops but rather make my own. Many times, I don't even use the pre-made instrument note samples but create my own (sampled from live instruments or non-musical sounds). And actually, there are three of us who do this together...myself, my wife, and our best friend Raymond.

I felt like I could only make music I wanted to make once I bought a keyboard, a soundcard, mic and software, and you do it on your PS2? You're the genius here. Making your own loops and stuff on a bloody console.... I'm very impressed. I respect musicians who make their music on whatever they've got immensely - that's creativity, really.
