Title: The Breakfast Thread
Post by: Don't Back Down on March 13, 2006, 05:26:08 AM
Well for those of us who get up early enough to get breakfast, or brunch...I did today which was shocking.

Omlette (2 cheese, onion & green pepper), bacon, and tots. Lucky Charms, 2 glasses of milk (4 if you include refills)

How much time did you have, and when was the last time you ate?

Usually I have juice and either frozen waffles, cereal, or a bagel and creme cheese.

I actually had only a bite of the omlette because it wasn't all that grade (college food, ya know) so I really didn't eat that. last time I ate was 2:00 pm Sunday.

I have such little time in the morning. I dont' like cereal or eggs, so I grab a pop tart each morning. Only one. They come in packs of 2 but who needs 2?

I'd get a sausage Croissant at BK if I could. I've always loved those things....

Sausage, egg, and cheese on a French roll from Dunkin Donuts.  Sometimes with a glazed donut for dessert.

I think the whole idea of dessert for breakfast rocks, frankly.

Breakfast #1 (7AM): 1 cup Arabian Moca Java w/half & half, 2 bananas and a raspberry yogurt

Breakfast #2 (9:30 AM): Large bowl of 5 minute oatmeal with 4 egg whites (stirred right in), cranberries, cinnamon, honey, and topped with vanilla soy milk. Sounds gross to most people I'm sure, but tastes great to me and makes my stomach happy. Energy for hours and never had a day of constipation my whole life.  :p

Weekdays, usually nothing (although sometimes a piece of fruit or a little yogurt, if I have some around). Weekends, definitely coffee, sometimes a bagel or english muffin or eggs.

Or wine or beer.

a cup of java and a chocolate poptart.  Now I am off to work at a hamburger stand at a fund raiser for a dance team, so probably a hamburger for brunch.

Fruit.  Nothing but fruit.  Whatever's in season.

Today, coffee.

But with an 85-degree day in sunny Minneapolis, lunch or dinner (or some combination thereof) will surely be better. It's grilling season...time to eat and drink copious amounts of whatever comes to mind, play music that no one other than me or my friends will enjoy and basically piss off the neighborhood. (They need it anyway.)

When  money is especially tight, which is most of the time...Oreo cookies...not even the real ones, but a grocery store knock-off, no fewer than 9, no more than 15...
