Title: New Kate Bush Album Post by: Mike's Beard on September 19, 2011, 10:08:52 AM I've recently heard that she finally has a new album of new material coming out in November. If I'm not busted from the Smile Boxset and the Floyd reissues I'm going to buy it. I just pray she goes for a less 'modern' production style this time (something which has plagued her last few records).

Long & complex songs (the shortest one clocks in at 6:48), sparse arrangements (mostly piano, strings & vox), will take a little while to really get into it I suppose, but it was well worth the wait.

Revisited Aerial this week and I must admit it's grown on me. "Kate Bush concert is now the benchmark" was the heading of my Dutch daily's review of Kate's opening concert. No word of that yet, but I'll be very surprised if they don't. Yes, it's a Hammersmith, London-only project. I should imagine it's too costly (and complicated) to tour the stage set. |
