I think it is torture to 'listen' to that song. Over rated in my opinion. The second worst song on WH just ahead of Mama Says.

Darlin' really suffers when it's done too fast.  Also it really suffers when anybody but Carl Wilson sings it.

I think the melody works much better at "thinkin bout you baby" speed.

Bill Mumy did at least 2 Twilight Zone episodes, but of course is better known as Will Robinson on Lost In Space.

Have you heard Darian sing it on a good recording or live? He absolutely nails it, it was one of the few highlights of the recent show in St. Charles IL.

Oh yeah, that ending still gives me nightmares - for some reason I keep remembering it as being Ron Howard, but Billy will always be Will Robinson to me.

Wonder if Darian, being the SMiLE expert he is, had Brian renact some of the skits from the SMiLE sessions. (Brian falls in a piano, etc.)
