Title: Ronettes and Crystals best of albums in FEBRUARY! Post by: Jim V. on January 06, 2011, 10:02:30 PM Hey, since this is a Beach Boys board, I figured this would be of interest to most of you. If any of you, like I, have been waiting to finally buy an in-print edition of the real hits by The Ronettes and The Crystals, well, it seems like the time has finally come. I found them both listed on Amazon.com and it seems they are both legit, unlike some of those weird albums that come out under the name "The Crystals" but are actually weak re-recordings from the past few years. It seems like both are going to be issued on Sony's Legacy label, so hopefully both will sound good. I have The Best of The Crystals or whatever from around 1992, which was released on ABKCO, but the sound left a bit to be desired. So hopefully everything ends up sounding good, and hopefully these albums do well.
Anybody else excited about this? Title: Re: Ronettes and Crystals best of albums in FEBRUARY! The artists on these cds deserve better than what they have gotten in the past in my opinion. Although I love Mr. Spectorls music...he treated his artists unfairly, at least from reading their stories. Perhaps people like Ronnie Spector and Darlene Love will see some income, albeit limited.
