Title: New ESQ? Post by: bgas on December 07, 2010, 04:53:45 PM Is the new ESQ available yet, with Sunflower?
I thought it was supposed to be out about now, but I have yet to see anyone here raving about it, as ya'll are wont to do. Just want to know so I can start looking for it on EBay... Waiting on a couple phone calls first. Your email over in the ESQ account suggests you're wanting a subscription, which would be wise. The Sunflower edition is phenomenal, and will justify the additional copy from eBay. Title: Re: New ESQ? Post by: acedecade75 on December 08, 2010, 12:51:18 PM In relation to the Sunflower issue, does anyone know if a list of winners has been made public in the Capitol Records 40th Anniversary of Sunflower autograph giveaway? I doubt Capitol will be releasing the winners names, too many legalities issues for them. Besides, I wouldn't want to see my name listed 10 times.... :lol Title: Re: New ESQ? Normally the T&Cs state that entry effectively means you agree to being used in post-competition promotions. If the names aren't released, then for all we know the whole thing might have been a con. A con? No. I personally arranged for all the guys to sign the Sunflower CD and LPs. Ask yourself, "Why would Capitol Records run a con?" Once I get the 10 names I'll verify that there were 10 winners. I may be able to congratulate the winners by name only on ESQ's FB page. Back to topic: The Sunflower issue of ESQ is stellar. Super rare pictures from David Dalton, new articles from Andrew Doe, Peter Reum, Fred Vail and myself. Title: Re: New ESQ? I'm happy with that - acknowledging the names on FB is the same as posting them on prime-time TV! Thanks for your sterling efforts on fans' behalf David. Title: Re: New ESQ?
