Back in the 90's Vic was actually funny.

Hey, Vic's a nice guy - and a good guy, more to the point.  If you don't get his brand of whacked out surrealist humour, fine.  Sometimes it works for me; sometimes I wonder how he gets paid for it, but there are more venal showbiz bastards out there deserving of our wrath, 'limey' or 'yank', so what the hell...

Well... someone here names an obscure American comic (that is, obscure to me), I'll find out who he his, for the following reasons:

1 - I like to know things... or to seem that I know things...  ::)

2 - I don't want to come across as someone who can't be assed to spend maybe 30 seconds using Google. I'm lazy, but not indolent.

You can't be assed to do it? It seems you are indolent when it comes to proof reading your responses  ;D

*Smiley indicates a joke!

"Can't be assed" is a Brit-ism.

We Brits would say we can't be arsed.

An ass is a donkey.

True, but I was adopting the colonial argot for clarity.  ;D

I caught that, but I didn't want to complicate the English to American translation.  ::)

Us Brits also used the term 'pissed off'. You Americans have simply condensed the phrase to 'pissed'.

Although, don't you use the term 'pissed' to describe drunk?

Ah, as my ol' drinking buddy Oscar used to say, "two nations divided by a common language".

Actually, he didn't - it was GBS, but the principle holds true.  ;D

That drawing reminds me a bit of the cartoon drawings of  Ralph Steadman or John Callahan.  Callahan's drawings and one liners were the epitomy of politically incorrect.

Indeed, but then we have a vast dictionary when it comes to being drunk such as shitfaced, fuckfaced, mullered, wankered, bladdered, tanked, 3 sheets to the wind and Ollied. The Irish probably have at least 50 more.
