He's credited with doing backups on the title track of Zucchero's new album, Chockabeck.

Interesting collaboration...Zucchero is amazingly underrated outside of Europe. He's worked with so many big names. This will be fun to hear!

For those of you who only listen to the Beach Boys - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zucchero

Hmmm, what about this, then:
There's a new one, too -- some Euro-rock guy produced by Don Was.

Zucchero.

Brian's participation hasn't been 100% confirmed, and I don't hear him in there.

That was almost a month ago - now it's confirmed. The album credits include the name "Brian Wilson"

Interesting. During the late eighties and early nineties you could hardly escape the voice of Zucchero on German radio or television, he used to be very popular around here. "Senza Una Donna" was by far his biggest hit I think. Not a personal favourite but the music brings back some very fond memories.

To be honest I can't make out BW's voice at all in this new song. Maybe I'll have to pay closer attention.

Nope... unless the first falsetto is him AutoTuned to hell and back. But I don't hear him on "Boat To Sail", or "Yes, Sir, That's My Baby" either, and those are similarly documented.

It sounds a bit like Brian at around 3:10 and a lot more like him at 3:20. If someone says its him I believe them.

Listened again and tweaked it a bit - the first falsetto isn't Brian, but you can just about hear his mid-range in the massed bvs later in the song.
