Title: Brian Wilson/VA: What Love can do
Post by: GoogaMooga on October 27, 2010, 09:24:48 AM
My latest Brian Wilson purchase is the VA "What Love can do", with beautiful vocals by Brian. He sings GOK better than I've ever heard him sing it in concert. And the new song is a neo-classic. Essential purchase! Two by Burt Bacharach as well, if you need more convincing.

When I'm done with all the stray tracks, I'll probably start collecting BB background vocals guest appearances!

We discussed this when it was first released in February 2007 as New Music From An Old Friend.

I'd forgotten about that one! That means I've essentially bought the same album twice!

Not really - 2nd version had a slightly different track listing.

Okay, I'll keep it then. Nice to have a back-up, this will be rare in the future.

How's that Papa John Phillips Beach Boys tribute album treating you? :)

Haven't received it yet - boy, that was a blunder! Where's the smiley that blushes? But there's lots of real Papa reissued now for me to chase.
