He had just recorded an album with Dutch pop group 'De Dijk', "Hold On Tight" (which contains songs from this Dutch group translated in English). Just entered the local charts on #2 this week. Wright), and then there was The Bishop of Soul (Solomon Burke). Now they are all dead. :(

In the last decade or so, there were only two people who were truly the best of the best. Wilson Pickett and Solomon Burke. Three, if you count Levi Stubbs, although he was incapacitated by a stroke for many years before he died. They are all gone now.
