A fascinating story of this band both before and after the death of Jan can be found in Bob Greene's book "When We Get to Surf City". A loving and respectful look at Jan and Dean and the supporting band that included some who graduated to the Beach Boys touring band in subsequent years. The SSAS website is also worth a visit.
