Title: "The Six Degrees of Helter Skelter"
Post by: PongHit on September 02, 2010, 07:59:27 AM

Has anyone here seen this documentary?  Do you recommend it?

"DVD bonuses include an additional 30 minutes of material on the Beach Boys' Dennis Wilson, Manson follower Squeaky Fromme and more."

It's so strange that all the recent Manson stuff keeps mentioning the Dennis connection, but they've seemingly stopped mentioning any of the Beatles connections altogether... I.E. 'Helter Skelter', or Manson's idolation and love for their music, etc.  I guess because he actually knew Dennis and didn't know the Beatles.

Haven't seen this so I can't comment on the quality, but copies are available on ebay for only a few bucks.

I don't recommend it.  I found it very dull and the Dennis content basically amounts to a minute of video footage of his house and one still picture.  You see both in the trailer anyway.  I haven't seen the dvd bonuses (in truth, I haven't made it through the whole feature) but from what I've seen I wouldn't expect to find much of interest there either.

I absolutely recommend it.

Care to expand on that?  Have you seen the bonus DVD content?
