Title: Goodbye Surfing, Hello God Post by: Mahalo on August 21, 2010, 07:34:26 PM Was looking for this article on the internet, and was wondering if anyone had link to a pdf file or something of this article...I was telling a friend about it and wanted to show her the article..
Title: Re: Goodbye Surfing, Hello God Post by: Chris Brown on August 21, 2010, 08:51:41 PM Mr. Siegel keeps a tight leash on the article...you can read it online, but you have to pay. Best thing to do would be to scan it from a copy of LLVS (which is essential reading for any Beach Boys fan anyways, so if you don't have it, order it ASAP) and send it to her that way.

There's some gold in there. Thanks to the OP for starting this thread though. It inspired me to dig up my copy and reread this article. Still fascinating after all this time. Jules only asks $3 for it, so it might be worth it to you to just get it from him personally. And he does offer his email in the event you'd like to make a case for why you should read it free. Or you could be the first to send him a book. :lol http://www.cafecancun.com/bookarts/wilson.shtml Title: Re: Goodbye Surfing, Hello God Post by: donald on August 24, 2010, 01:01:00 PM The article is in one of my BB books........Maybe "How Deep Is The Ocean"........or one of the others
If you are into this sort of thing you should check out some of the books.................there was a thread or a link around here somewhere that rated them or listed and reviewed them...... Anyone rember where we put that damn thing????? Title: Re: Goodbye Surfing, Hello God Post by: dogear on August 24, 2010, 01:29:30 PM The article can also be found in "Record" - a collection of Siegel' s writings, which was published in 1972 (Straight Arrow Books, San Francisco). That's where I read it for the first time. By the way most of the other stuff in the book is quite good as well.
