Title: Re: Marvin Isley 1953-2010 Post by: Aum Bop Diddit on June 10, 2010, 11:17:29 AM I was a huge fan of that 3 plus 3 period ("Brother, Brother Brother", "Live it Up", "Fight the Power" also) and you are right about "Summer Breeze". Those albums were a big part of my mid-70s soundtrack. A tremendous second act from a great American group. Three brothers then two more brothers and a cousin right? Anyway, Marvin Isley laid down a great bottom in the rhythm section.
I know Marvin was a big guy. Diabetes runs in my family -- we're good eaters. |
