Title: What happened to EVH? Post by: JScott on February 19, 2006, 10:06:04 PM What happened to Eddie Van Halen? Did he burn out? Did he lose all desire to release new music? Did his divorce from Val and the mouth cancer just rid him of all desire to play guitar? Why did the greatest rock guitarist of the 70's and 80's just disappear and become irrelevant?

Post by: Chance on February 20, 2006, 09:11:23 AM He probably needs a break. 30 years on the merry-go-round, touring, recording, the breakup of the family, facing cancer, lineup changes, decreased sales. He probably figured it was time to take stock and live for himself a bit. We tend to see that as dropping off the face of the earth, but it's probably long overdue and exactly what's called for.
