You can categorize how commercial/artistic/traveling jukebox inclined the Beach Boys were by their hair. Mike Love, the most bald of the bunch, is roundly criticized for only caring about money. Al Jardine, sometimes regarded as Mike's right hand man (until the '90s and '00s, anyway), always had a significantly receded hairline. Carl Wilson, the mediator, or the facilitator between the two factions, always had a hairline that noticeably went a little farther back then his brothers. Still, for the most part, he was more artistically minded and never looked like he was balding like Mike and Al. Then you have Brian and Dennis, who always had full heads of hair, and were considered impulsive and artistic.

Of course, you could try to foul up my theory by throwing Bruce in there, but I don't think he really counts.

Rickie and Blondie had lots of hair, too.
