Is this track available anywhere now?  Does anyone have any information on it?  I know it was a remake of Sherry She Needs Me, and I think it was available on a homeless CD called In My Room, but I have been looking for this track and have been able to find it.  I think I heard that it was played for Carl & Mike and both thought it was pretty funny.

This album started life as a very limited edition collector's tape in December 1992, from which all the profits went to homeless people in California. I am pleased to say that all of the great people who contributed to the tape have made it onto the CD, plus a collection of home-spun tributes.

What can I say? I think the press release for this, the A-side of Will Brison's debut single, says it all:

"Just who is Will Brison? It's a mystery. But you don't have to be a cryptographer to rearrange the letters of his name. And who are the Shocking Shrinks? Those four- part harmonies should sound familiar. I hope you agree with me - they're the eye-poppingest , ear-whackingest, swingingest surf vocal group since the Sunrays."

A certain Malibu doctor has reportedly sued Brison for a cool $30 million, claiming that he wrote the lyrics.

The "Sea of Tunes" press release is signed by none other than Murry G Wilson ... We know nothing about Will Brison except that he was involved in an aborted publication entitled "Crap Beach Boys Anagrams".

Ha!! My background vox are in the mix somewhere, but barely. Will nailed all the vox himself, didn't really need me. Who's Will? He's the one keeping quiet.   8)

Listened to this song again today.  Kudos on the vocals, the bass vocal sounds like Mike Love.

They've been out of print since the early 90's. Is the Pet Sounds store in Newcastle still open? If anybody would have it, they would have it. John Porteus would know. Or Sean Macreavy - he might have a couple laying around. He's the guy who put it together to benefit the homeless.

Otherwise, Ebay or download sites.  It's worth seaking out.  Excellent covers.

There's one on Ebay for $110.... ( I think the single is less expensive than that)

I should clarify: by "download links" I meant, of course, "YouTube", since everybody can easily download the songs from here. Including offically released ones.

2bgas: where'd you get the word "send" in my post? Read carefully before quoting someone, it's not the 1st time you were inattentive. Or if you can't, don glasses, it's simple. As for "cheapskate" thing, if I had a record player, do you think I'd continue listening to mp3s? I actually like the sound of vinyl & would be glad to buy them, only I don't know how to order stuff on-line, never did that.

Both Pet Sounds shops in Newcastle were closed some years ago. There were plans for a new shop though, but I don't know if that already became reality.
