Title: Moog Questions Post by: Manchini on December 07, 2009, 05:30:52 PM Looking into this stuff opened up a whole element of sound/instruments/production that I never thought about. It can be very confusing.
What are people referring to when they talk about "Moog bass"? Is it just a Minimoog? I should add that I'm referring to the type of production found on "Surf's Up", "Love You", "15 Big Ones" and not really other types of electronic music. I'm mostly interested in the ability to use bass and interesting percussion sounds, so if I was ever interested in pursuing this would I be able to pick up an MF-101 or any of the Moogerfooger products to use with my keyboard and accomplish the same type of sound? Does anybody have any experience with these products? Hard to express my questions because I know so little about all of it, but any help is appreciated. Thanks. |
