Title: Clem "Howdy" Wilson Post by: metal flake paint on November 09, 2009, 02:49:18 AM Recently a guitar pick of Carl's with the words Clem "Howdy" Wilson stamped on it was posted on eBay. Was Clem Carl's nickname in the group and did he have a tendency to greet people by saying, "Howdy"? I seem to recall someone (Brian?) shouting, "No Clem, no!" during Our Favorite Recording Sessions.

In the booklet accompanying the Australian 4 CD release of The Capitol Years, Peter Reum suggests that Brian shouts "No Clem, no!" during the woodshop coda as a reference to Mike Love's nickname.
