Title: Beach Boys in Brazil Post by: Dancing Bear on November 04, 2009, 03:12:19 AM Mike'n'Bruce are supposedly playing in São Paulo in the 2th of December. This is their first gig in Brazil. Brian Wilson has already performed in São Paulo in 2004, and some of the Beach Boys showed up for the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro in 1992 - no concerts, though.
It's a six hour drive, but I'll see if I can make it. Beach Boys fandom in Brazil is very much something that started in the 90s - think Good Vibrations box set - so I hope they include some nuggets in the set list. For example, Disney Girls has a better chance to catch the attention of the audience than many of the car songs.
