I have less than zero use for the NY Times, but that is one great article (and one of the absolute best BB albums ever, from a period of time I was fortunate to grow up in in California, when we all dreamed of having a car like that).  Thanks for posting it.

Interesting ... but the memory does tend to play tricks after 40 years+ - as the picture that graced the album sleeve was not shot specifically for the LP cover as Barris suggests. That photo-shoot had been taken two years previous and had graced the cover of Hot-Rod Magazine back in '61 ...
