Title: We Love You
Post by: othereric on August 30, 2009, 08:27:44 PM
I was combing through some off my boots today and listened to a song called "We Love You" for the first time. This song. aside from the vocals, seems really uncharacteristic of Brian Wilson. It's kinda funky and has a modern sounding beat. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? I'm confused. Was the track made by someone else?

Brian just guests on the track - it's by Ryuichi Sakamoto

Isn't it a way-out cover of the Stones' track?

Yep. By the way for those interested Brian also appears on the Sakamoto original "Calling From Tokyo"

Seriously geekish observation - the mix of "We Love You" as played on a radio show before its release had a lot more of Brian on it.
