Title: does anyone listen to Duffy? Post by: punkinhead on June 13, 2009, 01:35:28 PM I saw her recently on the Jools Holland program, she's got a great vintage like voice, sounds like someone Spector would produce. Anyone wanna help out with her discography?

Post by: the captain on June 14, 2009, 07:24:09 AM If it were the latter, I could say that I listened to him from 1986 or so through roughly 1993, and that in interviews he held the astounding title of stupidest-sounding band member. Well, at least once Stephen Adler was fired. Before that, jesus. But if its that pop/RnB singer we're talking about, no. But I''m aware she exists.

Stephen Duffy is a damn good songwriter... He's written songs with ex-Barenaked Ladies' frontman Steven Page that I think rank as that band's best stuff ("Jane", "Alternative Girlfriend", "I Live With It Everyday", "Alcohol", "Call and Answer", "Baby Seat"). In fact, Page's first solo album consisted of nothing but songs we wrote with Duffy (Stephen Duffy, that is...). |
