September 30 - Studio 21, Hilversum, The Netherlands (These were California Beach Band shows - essentially The Beach Boys minus Carl & Alan. David didn't participate in these gigs) As I don’t recall this happening at all, this obviously makes me very curious: is there more information on this performance? What were they doing in Holland? Before they released the album. ;D Seriously, best date I have is spring-summer 1997. Just updated 1998 with info on Jimmy Buffet shows at which Brian guested. I was mildly surprised... As we walked in the gates, I couldn't believe it when I saw Melinda riding in a golf cart. I yelled out, "Is Brian here?" and she smiled and said yeah. I was a very happy college kid.
At the Cincinnati show they did South American during the regular set & then Surfin USA during the encore. |
