Hats off! Many people in their heyday really believed they had a secret pact with the Devil. Tell me... did you use, em, electronic help?

I'm surprised no-one ever thought Yngwie Malmsteen had a pact with Old Scratch back in the 1980s. Yngwie's main influence was Paganini himself.

I did not know that. Although I can't stand Malmsteen's efforts myself, I can see why you wrote this. By the way, I helped a friend translate 'Classical Music For Dummies'. I recall the stories about Paganini in concert... candles blew out mysteriously, and young ladies fainted or/and experienced spontaneous orgasms. These myths no doubt contributed to that belief in Satan being involved.

Celine Dion is the devil.  I feel like hell when I have to listen to her.  I think hell's muzak must consist solely of later day Diva singers played constantly at full volume.   I shudder to think........
