Title: Chevrolet sponsored tour? Post by: MookieZ on April 03, 2009, 07:42:26 AM What year was the Beach Boys tour sponsored by Chevrolet? I want to know because the first Beach Boys show I went to was part of this tour. (I was under 10 years old, so I don't remember it all that well.)

I saw them in Canandaigua, NY. They played there in both 87 and 88, so now I'm not sure which was my first... I remember exactly 4 things about the concert: 1) I had a good time. 2) Before they played Runaway, they (Mike and/or Al) told a really long story involving Del Shannon and Germany, I think. 3) There was a program, which I read just about everyday for the next 4 months straight. 4) The vocals on the first 2 or 3 songs were inaudible.
