i've only seen the live smile dvd, which i think is great, and listened to this performance on the npr website: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4182988 (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4182988).

i'm innerested in tracking down some unmentionables if anyone can throw out a few good dates and personal favorites.

a pretty monkey with links would be super duper, duper super as well.  ;)

The February 22 and 27 performances were quite good, especially the 27th. But I come to this conclusion mainly based on nostalgia since I heard all of the BWPS-era live boots pretty much as they came out and they came out roughly in order of performance. The US dates in 2004 had some good ones, as did the ones in 2005.

EDIT - just to add, the European tour in 2005 did not feature BWPS. Brian did two tours of BWPS in Western Europe (although a gig in Spain did not feature BWPS) and the United States, and one in Australia and Japan. He also played a one-off in Brazil that almost no-one knew about, as it was never posted on the list of tour dates on Brian's website. It was also a non-BWPS show. Also, reportedly, a hideous performance.

I have heard a fair amount of the shows, many on CD and 2 live, and the show I attended at
San Francisco's Davies Symphony Hall in, I think, mid-2004 was razor-sharp. :)
