Title: More on East-West's New Look
Post by: c-man on February 28, 2009, 09:21:48 AM
They took the right approach, at least, in protecting the five "jewels" (studios) inside...and Studio 3 now has a Trident console (which would explain what Ken Scott was doing there...).

Wow.  I walked by the studio several times on visits to LA over the past five years.  There was *something* going on there... it certainly wasn't vacant, but now I know what they did with it.  At least its nice to see the studio still functioning in some form, even if some eccentric interior design is part of it now.

I still long for the day that I can be rich enough to buy out the minimall on the southeast corner of Santa Monica and Vine and build my tribute to Gold Star and call it, I dunno, "Silver Meteor".

Let's just say I'll take a different approach to decoration.

But -- it is awesome to have a guy that respects the greatness of the original studios in there and protecting them.  That is a whole lot more than we could have asked for when the thing was up for auction.
