Title: Love and Mercy cover Post by: donald on February 26, 2009, 05:48:12 PM I just heard a version of L&M on Ohio Public Radio by some one named Tweedy who is/ was affiliated with the (Jayhawks???)
A country rock sort of version....nice....not bad at all.....slight lyric change to fit the country feel "I WAS SITTIN IN A SMOKY BAR ETC" Anybody else heard this or am I just the last to discover it? Jeff Tweedy, the frontman from Wilco, is the guy who sings. They did a version in the late 90s, though he performed it at least occasionally while stumping for Obama last summer and fall.
