I'm not even sure Brian had the deal with Capitol yet for TLOS. That's thousands of seats to fill for three nights in a row, which were already announced as being "Beach Boys classics" shows from the time they were put on the Bowl calendar. I don't think there would be much demand for another Brian Wilson show after he played to around 25,000 people over three nights, more or less. I'm sure they shoehorned in as much of the new album as they could into the Bowl shows. It probably worked out better that way. I don't know if he could fill a venue any bigger than the Wiltern with a TLOS show.
Title: Re: TLOS in Los Angeles Post by: c-man on December 04, 2008, 06:41:20 PM On his earlier tours (the '99 hits shows, the '04 and '05 SMiLE shows, and I think the '00 Pet Sounds shows) they played L.A. and the end, so I would think '09 will see a repeat of that pattern. They'll probably wrap things up in California.
