Title: I Was Made To Lover Her - question about Wild Honey song Post by: Daniel S. on November 01, 2008, 08:33:36 PM I know this is something that has been brought up before around here, but I don't remember what the explanation is. On the Wild Honey album a verse from the original Stevie Wonder song is not included, the part with the killer bass line that begins 'All Through Thick And Thin, Our Love Just Won't End..." I just figured they decided not to perform that part for their own reasons. Then I heard the cd from the early 80's album Rarities which has 'I Was Made To Love Her' from the Wild Honey album and included the missing section of the song as a tag. So they did record that section of the song! Now, why didn't they release the entire song with all the verses back in 1967? It would of made the song a lot more awesome. IIRC the juxtaposition of the two sections on RARITIES is pretty awkward-sounding.

Oh yeah. It doesn't work at all. Title: Re: I Was Made To Lover Her - question about Wild Honey song Post by: Aegir on November 02, 2008, 07:14:25 AM That's because they just tack it on at the end.

Title: Re: I Was Made To Lover Her - question about Wild Honey song Post by: Loaf on November 03, 2008, 12:27:09 AM Do you think it might be weird for Mike Love to sing so many songs with the word 'love' in the title?
It'd be like having songs called 'I Was Made to Wilson Her', 'Jardine Is A Woman', 'Never Learn Not to Johnston', 'Fataar & Mercy', 'Mike Kowalski Not War'. Title: Re: I Was Made To Lover Her - question about Wild Honey song Post by: Jonas on November 03, 2008, 12:31:00 AM :lol @ loaf
