Title: Right-wing interpretations of BB songs
Post by: carl r on October 25, 2008, 11:44:34 PM
We've had "Bush Vibrations" and "Bomb Iran." I was thinking some other songs might lend themselves to modern imperialist ideology...

Hang On To Your Paycheque
The Warmth of The Bomb
SUV Honda
In My Board-room
Caroline, No (Sex Before Marriage)

A question for those in the know, did the BB really perform "Bush Vibrations" in person, or was Dom Priore making that up? I was around then, but in quite a haze.

Hanging on to one's paycheque hardly seems imperialistic.   :o

I just played 'Ding Dang' backwards at 16 rpm. Here's what I heard:

Welcome listener to the extraordinary and strong minded world of the Ku Klux Klan
We want to help you make the right decisions in a responsible but very white way
Come join us and please donate $ 50,000 to further our and your cause
And pray to the memory of Joseph McCarthy...

I swear I heard that.

Today they are singing "Electorate, No".....which ends with the sound of a bus pasing a polling place and the dogs of war barking.
