The most recent post on my blog (http://audioarchives.blogspot.com/) showcases an RKO-produced and Dave Roberts-hosted radio show called "The Hot Ones" that features music from and interviews with the Beach Boys of 1985.

Thanks.  I remember hearing this one on the air while cruising in my car back in the summer of '85.  Been looking for it since!  Glad to have it.

Thanks for sharing. So that's where Bruce Johnston's statement on BB85 being the group's finest album since Sunflower came from. While the record is of course nowhere near as good, I can actually see where he's coming from. After five years of not releasing a new one, this record must've felt like a major milestone in the group's history.

Plus, I think their vocals are the lushest since Sunflower.  Brian's voice was not as good as it was on MIU, and like you said, the album pales in comparison to Sunflower, but compared to their previous few LPs, it's pretty good vocally.
