Title: Stickies Post by: Wirestone on June 26, 2008, 07:16:13 PM Hey there. Howdy to Chuck and all. I was just wondering if we could cut the number of stickies on the main forum. I understand why they're there, but several aren't used anymore, and the sheer number means the number of active conversations is much smaller than it used to be -- once they're off the first page, people don't read them anymore. Probably just a shot in the dark, but I thought I'd ask. Does this bug anyone else?

Might not be a bad idea to think about old threads and what should happen to them, too. I don't think Desper has been around much lately. And the Peter Carlin book has come and gone. At the same time, I hate to lose the opportunity to have folks drop in if they want.
Is there some way to just add a few more subject lines to each page? That might address some of the issue right there. Well, there are 20 slots per page now. The first page has eight stickies. I would suggest adding three to five slots, which would give us 15-18 open slots, assuming the stickies stay as is.
Just looking at the pages now, the first page has items from the past two days. The second page has posts from June 23-27, and the third from June 19-23. all the stickies that aren't frequently updated can go there, also posts that have tons of info...so people can still be able to search for them, and easily find them.
